This morning, after many delays that involved not having cleaned sufficiently and not having packed prior to this morning (the planned departure date), I finally got on the road.
I am spending the night with friends in Humboldt county.
This is what it looks like as you drive up California.
And after that, it was dark, and I took no pictures. It was very, very dark. There are not very many streetlights, or any other lights that aren't attached to cars. However, I arrived.
